Welcome to the Texas Schools to Watch® website. We hope you use this site as a tool to learn about the Texas Schools to Watch® program and as a resource for middle level reform. Through this site you can:

  • Learn more about the National Schools to Watch Program
  • Learn about Texas Schools to Watch®
  • Tour the Texas Schools to Watch model schools and explore their programs, cultures and characteristics that led to their selection as models for other middle schools
  • Use a powerful, online School Self-Study and Rating Rubric and the Readiness Checklist based on the School to Watch Criteria. (NOTE: The Self-Study Rubric must now be submitted online only. Email for directions on how to access the Rubric.) YOU MUST COMPLETE THE RUBRIC BEFORE YOU CAN APPLY.

January 19-20, 2017: New Texas Schools to Watch honored at the TMSA Annual Conference

April - May, 2017: Schools to Watch Celebrations June 2017: New Schools present at the National Schools to Watch Conference in Arlington, VA (dates coming soon)
